This Privacy Policy applies to the Elastix mobile application created by Chris Chui as an individual developer. This Policy explains how information is handled across different editions of the App.

1. Free Edition vs. Pro Edition

• Pro Edition 100% Offline & Private: The Pro edition does not require or use network permissions. It does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data or usage metrics whatsoever.
• Free Edition Supported by Ads & Analytics: The Free edition utilizes third-party SDKs that require internet access to serve advertisements and gather anonymized app diagnostics and usage analytics.

2. Data Handling & Non-Collection

As the developer, Chris Chui does not directly collect, store, process, or harvest any personally identifiable information (such as your name, address, or phone number).

3. Third-Party SDK Services (Free Edition Only)

The Free edition uses third-party services that may collect device identifiers and technical metrics to perform their services:

• Google Mobile Ads (AdMob): Displays advertisements and may use device Advertising IDs to serve non-personalized or personalized ads. Google Privacy Policy

4. System Permissions Usage

Elastix requests system permissions solely to operate as a local music player:

• Storage / Media Access (READ_MEDIA_AUDIO / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): Used exclusively to scan, index, and play audio files stored on your local device. Media metadata is processed entirely on-device and is never uploaded to any server.
• Foreground Service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE / FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK): Used strictly to keep audio playing smoothly in the background and display media notification controls.

5. Children's Privacy

Elastix does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age.
